Taylor-Griswold Vows Said The marriage of Miss Faye Bunn Griswold and Charles Frederick Taylor was solemnized Sunday, June 25, at the Zebulon Baptist Church with the Rev. William K. Quick officiating. Music was presented by Mrs. Connie Mack Bunn, soloist, and Miss Carolyn Hinton, organist. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willie G. Griswold, Sr., of Zebulon and the bride groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Taylor of Wendell. J. M. Chevrolet Co. She wore a floor length gown of chantilly lace and tulle. The gown had1 a sabrina neckline covered with scattered sequins. Her fingertip veil of il lusion fell from a matching head piece of lace and seeded pearls, and she carried a white Bible topped with carnations and stepha notis centered with an orchid. Miss Janet Griswold, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore an aqua ballerina dress of chiffon and lace with a portrait neckline and short cap sleeves. Her matching headpiece had a nose-length veil and she carried a nosegay of pink roses and car nations. The bridegroom had as best man his brother-in-law, Johnny Gay of Atlanta, Ga. Ushers were W. G. Griswold, Jr., of Zebulon, broth er of the bride, Norwood Martin of Zebulon, Franklin Eddins of Zebulon and Glenn Strickland of Wendell. For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Griswold wore an aqua silk sheath dress with white accesso ries. Both wore orchid cor sages. The bride is a 1961 graduate of Wakelon High School and the bridegroom is a graduate of Wen dell High School. Following a wedding trip the couple will make their home on Marshburn Road, Wendell. Cake Cutting Miss Faye Griswold and Charles Taylor of Wendell, who were mar ried Sunday, were feted with a cake cutting Saturday night fol lowing the rehearsal. Mrs. Elbert Pearce, Miss Faye Pearce, Mrs. Billy Green and Mrs. W. G. Gris wold, Jr., were hostessses. The refreshment table was cov ered with an imported linen cloth. A large all-white arrangement of gladioli, mums, and white tapers centered the table. Mrs. W. G. Griswold, Sr., moth er of the bride, served the three tiered cake after the couple cut the traditional first slice. Pre siding at the punch bowl was Mrs. Russell Taylor, mother of the bridegroom. Other refreshments were lime ice, mixed nuts, bell shaped chicken salad sandwiches and mints. The 40 guests attending the so cial were greeted by Mrs. W. G. Griswold, Jr. Presiding over the register were Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Richardson. £ Entertained Miss Martha Temple, July 30 bride-elect, was feted recently with a bridal bridge party by Mrs. Ruric Gill, Sr., and Mrs. L. E. Long at the home of Mrs. Long. A pink and white color scheme was used throughout the home. In the drawing room was a cym bidium orchid tree on the secre tary; on the mantle was an ar rangement of roses and snapdrag ons; an arrangement of yellow mums was used on the coffee ta ble; and a mixed colonial ar rangement was used in the foyer. Miss Temple and her mother, Mrs. Wallace Temple, were pre sented orchid corsages and the honoree was given dinner plates in her chosen china pattern by the hostesses. On arrival the guests were each given a miniature corsage, of white wedding bells tied with lily of the valley and satin streamers. The honoree’s table was center ed with a bride doll holding a bouquet. The auxiliary tables were centered with white candles tied with white wedding bells and sweetheart roses. Guests were Miss Temple, her mother, Miss Julia Ribet, Miss Sarah Crump, Mrs. Haywood Jones, Mrs. Foster Finch, Mrs. A. S. Hinton, Mrs. Jack Mitchell, Miss Jackie Mitchell, Mrs. Raleigh Al J ford, Mrs. Eldred Rountree, Mrs. i Ruric Gill, Jr., Mrs. George H. | Temple, Mrs. Russell Brantley, ! Mrs. Fred Smith and Miss Mary L. Palmer. Prizes were given to Mrs. Mit chell, high; Mrs. George Temple, low; and Mrs. Smith, floating. At the close of three progressions the hostesses served frozen egg nog pudding in dessert cups, chick en salad sandwiches cut in bell shapes decorated with lily of the valley sprigs, nuts, and ginger ale.
